In 2015, Sweden got new banknotes. The 20-, 50-, 200- and 1,000-krona banknotes became legal tender on 1 October 2015. The 100- and 500-krona banknotes will become legal tender in October 2016. Schedule new banknotes and coins.

These 20, 50 and 1,000-krona banknotes are invalid. This means that you can no longer use them for payments. However, you can still deposit them into your bank account up to and including 31 August 2016.
