The Riksbank’s work on cyber risks
As part of its crisis prevention work, the Riksbank analyses and monitors cyber risks in the financial system. In addition, the Riksbank coordinates cybersecurity tests according to the TIBER-SE (Threat Intelligence‐based Ethical Red Teaming) framework.
Cyber risks are currently seen as one of the greatest threats to the international financial system and its participants. The Riksbank is working to counteract cyber risks partly by coordinating the tests in accordance with TIBER‐SE, which is a framework for testing cyber security among participants in the Swedish financial system. This framework can help critical actors obtain a better picture of their capacity to manage cyber risks, and it thus provides a base for strengthening resilience in the financial system.
