Deputy Governor Henry Ohlsson talks about the economic situation and current monetary policy in a Skype meeting arranged by Danske Bank in Halmstad.

Representatives of the Riksbank, Finansinspektionen (the Swedish FSA), the Swedish National Debt Office and the Government will gather for a meeting of the Financial Stability Council.

Governor Stefan Ingves will hold a speech on the challenges monetary policy has to manage and the driving forces behind the use of new tools, such as using the balance sheet to reach the inflation target when the level of interest rates is very low. This is particularly relevant now, in light of the coronavirus pandemic, which means that many of the Riksbank's measures have consequences for the balance sheet. In conclusion, he highlights how the legislative proposals of the current Riksbank Inquiry may affect the Riksbank’s ability to conduct its activities.

First Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley will inform the Riksdag Committee on Finance of the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the supply of cash.

Deputy Governor Per Jansson will discuss the economic situation and current monetary policy in a webcast arranged by Goldman Sachs in London.

Deputy Governor Anna Breman will hold a prerecorded address at the European Financial Congress. Among other matters, she will discuss the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the measures the Riksbank has taken to mitigate the effects.
