Monetary policy meeting at which the Executive Board takes a decision on monetary policy including the policy rate.

The Executive Board’s monetary policy decision, including the decision on the policy rate, will be published together with the Monetary Policy Update for May 2024.

The decision on the level of the policy rate will apply from 15 May 2024.

The Riksbank is arranging a press conference on the monetary policy decision. The press conference will take place at the Riksbank, Brunkebergstorg 11. Press cards or the equivalent must be shown to attend. The press conference will be broadcast live at riksbank.se and on Youtube.

First Deputy Governor Anna Breman will discuss the economic situation and current monetary policy at a seminar organised by the local Shareholders Association Östermalm/Djurgården.

As part of the Riksdag Committee on Finance's annual evaluation of monetary policy in the previous year, it holds an open hearing of the Executive Board.

The Executive Board will be represented by Governor Erik Thedéen and Deputy Governors Anna Breman, Per Jansson and Aino Bunge.

The hearing will feature a presentation of the report "Swedish Monetary Policy 2023", which was commissioned by the Committee on Finance and produced by the Centre for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability (CeMoF ) at Stockholm University. This year's report is written by Professor John Hassler, Professor Per Krusell and Professor Roine Vestman, who will also participate in the hearing.

The report, together with the Riksbank's publication Account of Monetary Policy 2023, forms the basis for the Committee on Finance's forthcoming evaluation of monetary policy.

The meeting can be viewed live or on demand afterwards via the Riksdag’s webb tv.

The first Financial Stability Report of the year will be published.
