The November monetary policy meeting will be held in Falun
News The Riksbank has decided to hold the monetary policy meeting in November at the Riksbank’s local office in Falun. This is intended to raise the Riksbank’s preparedness capacity by making a monetary policy decision with subsequent communication in a location other than Stockholm.
As previously announced, the monetary policy meeting will be held on 6 November. The monetary policy decision, including the policy rate, will be published the following day, 7 November, at 09:30. On the same day, a press conference on the monetary policy decision and economic outlook will also be held at Magasinet in Falun at 11:00, where the Governor of the Riksbank will be available to the media as usual.
As early as 1693, the Riksbank, then the Bank of the Estates of the Realm, established one of its first local offices in Falun. Since 2022, the Riksbank has once again had an office in Falun.
Last year, the monetary policy meeting in November was held at the Riksbank's local office in Jönköping and the press conference at Jönköping University.
