New loan opportunities within corporate loan programme via the banks

The Riksbank has decided that between 27 March and 17 April 2020, on four occasions, it will offer a total of SEK 400 billion in loans to the banks to increase their loans to companies. This is part of the corporate loan programme via monetary policy counterparties announced by the Riksbank on 13 March 2020.

These loans will be issued at a variable interest rate equivalent to the Riksbank’s repo rate, presently 0 per cent, and have a maturity of 2 years. The Riksbank will regularly follow up on the banks’ lending to non-financial companies to ensure that the loans allocated to the banks are used to benefit the companies.
