Executive Board meeting, monetary policy meeting no. 4.

The Executive Board's interest rate decision will be published, together with the Monetary Policy Report.

The decision on the repo rate will apply from 12 September 2018.

The Riksbank will hold a press conference on the interest rate decision. Stefan Ingves, Governor of the Riksbank, and Jesper Hansson, Head of the Monetary Policy Department, will participate in the press conference.

Press cards or the equivalent must be shown to attend the press conference.

The press conference will be held at the Riksbank, Brunkebergstorg 11.

First Deputy Governor Kerstin af Jochnick will discuss current monetary policy at PwC’s event Finansdagen.

Governor Stefan Ingves will discuss current monetary policy at an event arranged by Goldman Sachs.

Governor Stefan Ingves will participate in a half-day conference on Financial Regulations Post Brexit arranged by the Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science (CPNSS) and the Financial Markets Group (FMG) of the London School of Economics.

Anders Vredin, Head of the General Secretariat, will participate in the panel “Monetary policy beyond normalisation: objectives and instruments” at the Belgian Financial Forum and SUERF conference “Ten years after the start of the crisis: contours of a new normal”.

The minutes from the Executive Board's monetary policy discussion on 5 September will be published.

Governor Stefan Ingves will participate in a discussion of the lessons learned from the banking crisis of the 1990s. The seminar has been organised against the background of the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Bank Support Authority and the 10th anniversary of the Support to Credit Institutions Act.

First Deputy Governor Kerstin af Jochnick will participate in a conference arranged by Moody’s: Swedish Real Estate Conference - Are we at the top of the real estate cycle? She will participate in a panel debate on how financial stability is affected by households’ debt/equity ratios, the current property cycle and other factors.

Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley will hold a breakfast presentation on the economic situation and current monetary policy.

On Saturday, 22 September 2018, the Riksbank will celebrate its 350th birthday by opening the doors of its head office in Stockholm to the general public.

On Monday 24 September, 17.30 – 19.00, First Deputy Governor Kerstin af Jochnick will hold the lecture “From copper coins to the e-krona” for the general public at Stadshuset Sundsvall. The Riksbank will provide cake and coffee.

Tuesday 25 September, 11.30 – 13.00, Kerstin af Jochnick will hold a lunch presentation on the economic situation and current monetary policy for the economic association FEK Sundsvall at Elite Hotel Knaust.

Deputy Governor Per Jansson will visit SEB in London and discuss the economic situation and current monetary policy.

Governor Stefan Ingves will participate in a panel discussion on climate change and financial stability. The conference will be arranged by the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB).
