Calendar 2022

Representatives of the Government, Finansinspektionen (the Swedish FSA), the Riksbank and the Swedish National Debt Office will gather for a meeting of the Financial Stability Council. More information about Financial Stability Council.

Deputy Governor Anna Breman will participate in a panel discussion organised by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University and the Nobel Foundation.

At 15:00, Minister for Financial Markets Max Elger will hold a press briefing on the occasion of the Financial Stability Council meeting. Those taking part in the press briefing will be Erik Thedéen, Director General of Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority), Karolina Ekholm, Director-General of the Swedish National Debt Office, and Stefan Ingves, Governor of the Riksbank. Deputy Governor Per Jansson will discuss current monetary policy and future economic developments at Öhman Fonder.

Deputy Governor Henry Ohlsson will discuss the economic situation and current monetary policy at Vadstena Sparbank.

The Riksbank’s monetary policy over the period 2015–2020 has been assessed on behalf of the Riksdag Committee on Finance. Dr Karnit Flug and Dr Patrick Honohan completed their assessment and submitted their report to the Committee at the end of March 2022. During the seminar, the report and the comments of the referral bodies will be discussed. The entire Executive Board will be present, and Governor Stefan Ingves will participate in the seminar and comment on the assessment.

The seminar is cancelled.

Deputy Governor Anna Breman will attend the Nordic AAA Seminar organised by Nordea and discuss inflation, monetary policy and sustainability.

Deputy Governor Henry Ohlsson will look back on a number of occasions when war has been associated with rising inflation, and will also discuss the ability of Sweden and the Riksbank to deal with the current situation.

Governor Stefan Ingves will make an opening address and participate in a subsequent discussion at the Israeli Central Bank's conference on payments “A Look at the Future World of Payments”.

First Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley will participate in a discussion of digital currencies during the 6th Annual Macroprudential Conference organised jointly by De Nederlandsche Bank, Sveriges Riksbank and Deutsche Bundesbank.

Deputy Governor Anna Breman will participate in the European Central Bank Forum on Central Banking.

First Deputy Governor Cecilia Skingsley will participate in a panel discussion at the ECB Forum on Central Banking on digital currencies and on the digital euro project.

Executive Board meeting, monetary policy meeting no. 3

The Executive Board's interest rate decision will be published, together with the Monetary Policy Report.

The decision on the policy rate will apply from 6 July 2022.

The Riksbank is arranging a press conference on the monetary policy decision with Governor Stefan Ingves and Mattias Erlandsson, deputy head of the Monetary Policy Department. The press conference will take place at the Riksbank, Brunkebergstorg 11, but pre-registered journalists can also participate and ask questions via Zoom. Press cards or the equivalent must be shown to attend. The press conference will be broadcast live at riksbank.se, where it can also be watched afterwards.
