Five members of the Executive Board

Deputy Governor Henry Ohlsson has previously announced that he will resign as a Member of the Executive Board and leave the Riksbank at the end of June 2023. According to the new Sveriges Riksbank Act, which entered into force on 1 January 2023, the Executive Board shall consist of five members. The transitional provisions regarding the new act allow the Executive Board to consist of six members until the end of 2028. However, the General Council of the Riksbank has not found reason to depart from the main provision in the Sveriges Riksbank Act and today decided not to appoint a new Member to succeed Henry Ohlsson. The Executive Board will therefore consist of five members with effect from 1 July 2023.
