How to make the deposit

If you are subject to the Riksbank's deposit requirement, a special account has been opened for you at the Riksbank. Your account number can be found in the deposit requirement decision (please note that the account number starts with the letter “I” followed by a series of numbers). You must deposit the amount that the Riksbank has decided is your deposit requirement in the account. The deposit can be made from 15 October 2025 and must be received by the Riksbank no later than 31 October 2025.

The deposit shall be made as a transfer via RIX-RTGS with Sveriges Riksbank as the recipient. If you are a RIX participant, you can make the transfer yourself. If you are not a RIX participant, contact a paying agent to find out what deposit options you have.

If you are a RIX-RTGS participant

Make the deposit as a regular domestic or foreign transfer to the Riksbank in RIX-RTGS. Below are templates for SWIFT messages that you can use when you carry out the transfer to the Riksbank on your own behalf or as a paying agent. The Riksbank’s SSIs (Standard Settlement Instructions) are also available below.

When the transfer is completed, you will receive an account statement from the Riksbank.

If you are not a RIX-RTGS participant

Contact a paying agent who is a RIX participant and ask how you should proceed to make the deposit to your account at the Riksbank – for example, whether the deposit can be made via online or by telephone.

You can see which institutions are RIX participants here: Participants in RIX

Then make the deposit to the Riksbank and make sure that your account number is included in the instructions to your agent and subsequently the Riksbank. The Riksbank’s SSIs (Standard Settlement Instructions) can be found below.

When the transfer is completed, you will receive an account statement from the Riksbank.
