For credit institutions subject to the deposit requirement
On 10 June 2025, the Riksbank decided that all Swedish credit institutions and branches of foreign credit institutions will hold interest-free deposits (deposit requirements) on account with the Riksbank. On 16 June, the Riksbank sent you a registered letter, as your institution is subject to the deposit requirement (link to the list). The letter contains a decision on the final deposit requirement for 2025 for your institution.
Please send in the acknowledgement of receipt
To confirm that you have received the decision, please fill in and sign the acknowledgement of receipt attached to the letter.
Please send in the acknowledgement as soon as possible. You can send the receipt by e-mail or use the stamped addressed envelope enclosed with the decision. Please send the acknowledgement to the address below. Always quote the reference number (DNR) given in the decision.

Appealing the decision
If you think the decision is wrong, you can appeal it. Your appeal must reach the Riksbank within three weeks of the date on which you were informed of the decision. More information on how to appeal is provided in annex 1 to the decision.
Depositing instructions
If you have a deposit requirement greater than SEK 0, you have been allocated a special account with the Riksbank. You can find your account number in the deposit requirement decision sent out by the Riksbank on 16 June 2025. You must deposit the amount that the Riksbank has decided is your deposit requirement in the account. The deposit can be made from 15 October 2025, and must be received by the Riksbank no later than 31 October 2025.
