Recruitment of new Executive Board member initiated
News The General Council of the Riksbank has decided to begin a recruitment process for a new member of the Executive Board of the Riksbank. The General Council also decided to appoint Aino Bunge new First Deputy Governor of the Riksbank.
The General Council of the Riksbank has decided to initiate a recruitment process to replace Anna Breman on the Executive Board of the Riksbank. Pursuant to the Sveriges Riksbank Act, the members of the Executive Board are to be appointed following an application procedure. This means that Executive Board members are recruited through an open recruitment procedure with a requirements profile and advertisement.
The Executive Board will consist of four members until a new member takes office. In the event of a vote when taking a decision, the proposal receiving a majority of the votes will win. The Chairman of the Executive Board, the Governor, has a casting vote in the event of a tie.
