The Riksbank's Code of Ethics
As an employee of the Riksbank, you work for Sweden’s public administration, with the country’s citizens as your principal. Ultimately, public administration aims to implement the democratic values of the constitution (the Instrument of Government). The work of the Riksbank is part of this.
It is important to understand the core values that apply to central government employees, for example that the activities we carry out must be supported by law. The Riksbank’s Code of Ethics provides guidance on certain issues that employees of the Riksbank are expected to be aware of. The purpose of the Code of Ethics is to clarify how we should act to safeguard public confidence in the Riksbank.
