Between 2014 and 31 March 2026, Finansinspektionen (FI) decided on the countercyclical capital buffer. Between 1 July 2024, and 1 April 2026, FI made decisions after consulting with the Riksbank. Here you will find all of the Riksbank’s opinions on FI’s decisions. As of 1 April 2026, the Riksbank is responsible for setting the buffer.
