Banking Union inquiry complete

In December 2017, the General Director of the Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board, Anna-Karin Jatko, was assigned to investigate potential Swedish participation in the European Banking Union. The inquiry’s remit was to make a comprehensive analysis of the implications of potential participation in the Banking Union and report on the advantages and disadvantages of participating in it or continuing to remain outside.

The Banking Union contributes to the joint supervision and management of banks in crisis in the EU and a joint system for deposit guarantees.
