Ulf Söderström new Head of the Research Division at the Riksbank
News The Executive Board of the Riksbank has appointed Ulf Söderström as new Head of the Research Division after Jesper Lindé, who has taken up the position of advisor at the International Monetary Fund.
Ulf holds a PhD in economics and currently works as Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department. Among other things, he has previously worked as a researcher at the Riksbank’s Research Division and as an associate professor at Bocconi University in Milan.
"Ulf has extensive and in-depth experience of research and policy work in the central banking world and is a highly competent economist with good leadership qualities. He is therefore well qualified to lead the work of the Riksbank's Research Division," says Governor Stefan Ingves.
Ulf Söderström will take up the position on 1 November 2019.
