Stefan Ingves awarded a Finnish order

News The President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, has bestowed upon Riksbank Governor Stefan Ingves the Order of the White Rose of Finland, Commander First Class, which is the second highest of five decoration classes. This order is awarded to foreign nationals in recognition of outstanding civilian conduct for the benefit of Finland. On 7 April, Stefan Ingves was presented with the award by Finland’s Ambassador to Sweden, Maimo Henriksson, at a ceremony at the Ambassador's residence in Stockholm.

Motive:

"This order is awarded to foreign nationals in recognition of outstanding civilian conduct for the benefit of Finland. The benefits for Finland shall be personal and of importance to the whole country and the outstanding conduct shall have taken place over a long time."

The Order of the White Rose of Finland is a Finnish order founded in 1919.
