Former Governor Stefan Ingves awarded Lifetime Achievement Award

News Former Governor Stefan Ingves has been awarded the Central Banking Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognises someone whose pioneering work in central banking and career have left an indelible mark on the central banking community.

The Central Banking Journal is a publication that covers issues relating to the operations of central banks and financial supervisory authorities. Justifying the award, the jury highlighted Stefan Ingves' long-standing service both in Sweden and in international organisations.

"What a pleasant surprise! During my by now almost thirty years in central banking it has been a privilege to work in different capacities and on many different central banking issues. I have done my best to serve the common good with a focus on getting things done while trying to straddle theory and practice. I am both moved and proud to have received this award", Stefan Ingves said.
