Press conference on the IMF’s assessment of the Swedish economy

News On Monday 5 February, a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, IMF, will conclude its visit to Sweden. The visit forms part of the regular consultations that the IMF has with its member countries, the so-called Article IV consultations.

The delegation has met, among others, representatives of the Riksbank, the Ministry of Finance, Swedish banks, the Swedish National Debt Office, Finansinspektionen (the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority) and the social partners.

At the press meeting, the head of the delegation and Mission Chief for Sweden, Rupa Duttagupta, will present the delegation's view of the Swedish economy. Ms Rupa Duttagupta will be available for questions after the presentation.

The press conference will take place at the Riksbank on Monday, 5 February at 10 am. Press cards or equivalent must be shown. It is also possible to participate digitally via Zoom. The IMF’s statement on the Swedish economy will be published on the Riksbank’s website at 08.30 on Monday 5 February, and will also be available at the press conference.
