Pernilla Meyersson given IMF assignment

News Pernilla Meyersson, acting head of the General Secretariat, has been appointed to evaluate how well the IMF's Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) has attained its objectives.

The evaluation will assess how successfully the IEO has

met its goals to serve as a means to enhance the learning culture within the Fund, to strengthen the Fund's external credibility and to support the Executive Board's institutional governance and oversight responsibilities.

The evaluation will be made by a high-level panel consisting of three people. The panel consists of Donald Kaberuka, former Finance Minister in Rwanda, Der Jiun Chia, who has worked as Executive Director at the IMF, and Pernilla Meyersson, who has also held the post of Alternate Executive Director at the Nordic-Baltic constituency office of the IMF.
