Åsa Olli Segendorf new Head of Monetary Policy Department
News The Executive Board of the Riksbank has appointed Åsa Olli Segendorf new Head of the Monetary Policy Department. Åsa Olli Segendorf is currently Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department. She will take up her new post on 1 August 2023.
“Åsa Olli Segendorf is an excellent manager who has long and solid experience of working with macroeconomic policy issues, which makes her the appropriate person to head up the continued work at the Monetary Policy Department,” says Governor Erik Thedéen.
Åsa Olli Segendorf has been working as Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department since 2020. Previously, she has worked as head of the Applied Research Division at the Riksbank, head of the Public finance, Price Analysis and Labour Market division at the National Institute of Economic Research and she has also held several positions in the Government offices. Åsa Olli Segendorf holds a PhD in Economics from Stockholm University.
She will take up her new post on 1 August 2023. Mattias Erlandsson will continue as acting Head of the Monetary Policy Department until Åsa Olli Segendorf takes up her post. He will then return to his previous position as Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department.
