Mattias Erlandsson Acting Head of the Monetary Policy Department

News The Executive Board of the Riksbank has appointed Mattias Erlandsson as Acting Head of the Monetary Policy Department after Jesper Hansson, who is leaving the Riksbank to take up a new position at Swedbank. Mattias currently works as a Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department. He takes up his new post on 6 March.

“Mattias Erlandsson has substantial experience as an economist and of qualified research and forecasting work. I and my colleagues on the Executive Board look forward to continuing to work with Mattias Erlandsson in his new role as Acting Head of the General Deputy Director-General,” says Governor Erik Thedéen.

Mattias Erlandsson has previously worked at the National Institute of Economic Research, where he was Head of Division before joining the Riksbank. Erlandsson has been a Deputy Head of the Monetary Policy Department since January 2020. He takes up his new post on 6 March.

Jesper Hansson has been Head of the Monetary Policy Department since 2018. He is leaving the Riksbank to take up a new position at Swedbank.
