Monetary policy meeting at which the Executive Board takes a decision on monetary policy including the policy rate.

The Executive Board’s monetary policy decision, including the decision on the policy rate, will be published together with the Monetary Policy Update for August 2026.

The decision on the level of the policy rate will apply from 26 August 2026.

The Riksbank is arranging a press conference on the monetary policy decision. The press conference will take place at the Riksbank, Brunkebergstorg 11. Press cards or the equivalent must be shown to attend. The press conference will be broadcast live at riksbank.se and on Youtube.

First Deputy Governor Aino Bunge takes part in a panel discussion on private capital markets organised by the Swedish House of Finance and the Stockholm School of Economics. Read more on Swedish House of Finance’s website.

The minutes from the Executive Board's monetary policy discussion on 19 August 2026 will be published.

Deputy Governor Göran Hjelm will speak at a breakfast seminar hosted by Handelsbanken on the economic situation and the most recent interest rate announcement.
