Deputy Governor Anna Seim will give a thought-provoking talk under the heading “What is money?” at the Economy Museum. Money is an integral part of our everyday lives, but how often do we stop and think about what money actually is and how it is created? What do we value when we set a price, and what underpins our trust in money? The talk will be held in Swedish.

Governor Erik Thedéen takes part in a panel discussion on innovation and payments at the “Future of Finance” conference organised by the Central Bank of Ireland. The conference is not open to the media, but Mr Thedéen’s opening address will be published on riksbank.se.

Monetary policy meeting at which the Executive Board takes a decision on monetary policy including the policy rate.

The Executive Board’s monetary policy decision, including the decision on the policy rate, will be published together with the Monetary Policy Report for September 2026.

The decision on the level of the policy rate will apply from 30 September 2026.

The Riksbank is arranging a press conference in Gothenburg on the monetary policy decision. The press conference will take place at the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce, Parkgatan 49.

The press conference will be broadcast live at riksbank.se and on Youtube.
