Monetary policy meeting at which the Executive Board takes a decision on monetary policy including the policy rate.

The Executive Board’s monetary policy decision, including the decision on the policy rate, will be published together with the Monetary Policy Update for May 2026.

The decision on the level of the policy rate will apply from 13 May 2026.

The Riksbank is arranging a press conference on the monetary policy decision. The press conference will take place at the Riksbank, Brunkebergstorg 11. Press cards or the equivalent must be shown to attend. The press conference will be broadcast live at riksbank.se and on Youtube.

First Deputy Governor Aino Bunge will speak about the economic situation and current monetary policy at Capital Markets Day, organised by Kammarkollegiet (Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency).

A delegation from the International Monetary Fund, IMF, will conclude its visit to Sweden. The visit forms part of the regular consultations that the IMF has with its member countries, the so-called Article IV consultations.

At the press meeting, the head of the delegation and Mission Chief for Sweden, S. Pelin Berkman, will present the delegation's view of the Swedish economy. Ms Pelin Berkman will be available for questions after the presentation.

First Deputy Governor Aino Bunge will give a speech on the impact of AI on the economy and monetary policy at the ”Morgondagens Samhälle” (Tomorrow’s society) conference. She will also participate in a panel discussion after the speech on AI and digitalisation from 13:50 to 14:15.

Deputy Governor Göran Hjelm gives his first speech as a member of the Executive Board. He will speak about monetary policy trade-offs and economic policy interactions in the event of supply shocks at a breakfast seminar to be held at the Riksbank. As part of the Riksdag Committee on Finance's annual evaluation of monetary policy in the previous year, it holds an open hearing of the Executive Board.

Members of the Executive Board taking part are Governor Erik Thedéen, First Deputy Governor Aino Bunge and Deputy Governors Per Jansson, Anna Seim and Göran Hjelm.
